Power Supply
The system features redundant power supplies and will continue to operate if one module
fails, when it should be replaced as soon as convenient. The modules are hot-swappable,
meaning they can be changed without powering down the system. New units can be ordered
directly from Supermicro or authorized distributors. The power supplies are auto-switching
capable. This feature enables them to automatically sense the input voltage and operate at
a 100-120V or 180-240V range (200-240V for the 2600W power supplies).
Power Supply LEDs
On the rear of the power supply module, an LED displays the status.
•
Solid Green
: When illuminated, indicates that the power supply is on.
•
Solid Amber
: When illuminated, indicates the power supply is plugged in and turned off,
or the system is off but in an abnormal state.
•
Blinking Amber
: When blinking, this system power supply temperature has reached 63C.
The system will automatically power-down when the power supply temperature reaches
70C and restart when the power supply temperature goes below 60C.
