ACPI Settings
WHEA Support
Select Enabled to support the Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA) plat-
form and provide a common infrastructure for the system to handle hardware errors
within the Windows OS environment to reduce system crashes and to enhance
system recovery and health monitoring. The options are
Enabled
and Disabled.
High Precision Event Timer
Select Enabled to activate the High Precision Event Timer (HPET) that produces
periodic interrupts at a much higher frequency than a Real-time Clock (RTC) does in
synchronizing multimedia streams, providing smooth playback and reducing the de-
pendency on other timestamp calculation devices, such as an x86 RDTSC Instruc-
tion embedded in the CPU. The High Performance Event Timer is used to replace
the 8254 Programmable Interval Timer. The options are
Enabled
and Disabled.
NUMA (Available when the OS supports this feature)
Select Enabled to enable Non-Uniform Memory Access support to enhance system
performance. The options are
Enabled
and Disabled.
PCI AER (Advanced Error-RepoArting) Support
Select Enabled to support Advanced Error-Reporting for onboard PCI devices. The
options are
Disabled
and Enabled.
iSCSI Configuration
This item displays iSCSI configuration information:
iSCSI Initiator Name
This item displays the name of the iSCSI Initiator, which is a unique name used
in the world. The name must use the IQN format. The following actions can also
be performed:
Add an Attempt
Delete Attempts
Change Attempt Order
7-4 Event Logs
Use this feature to configure Event Log settings.
Change SMBIOS Event Log Settings
This feature allows the user to configure SMBIOS Event settings.
Enabling/Disabling Options
SMBIOS Event Log
Select Enabled to enable SMBIOS (System Management BIOS) Event Logging
during system boot. The options are
Enabled
and Disabled.
Runtime Error Logging Support
Select Enable to support Runtime Error Logging. The options are
Enable
and Dis-
able. If this item is set to Enable, the following item will be available for configuration:
Memory Corrected Error Enabling (Available when the item above-Runtime
Error Logging Support is set to Enable)
Select Enable for the BIOS to correct a memory error if it is correctable. The options
are
Enable
and Disable.
Memory Correctable Error Threshold
Use this item to enter the threshold value for correctable memory errors. The default
setting is
10
.
PCI-Ex (PCI-Express) Error Enable
Select Yes for the BIOS to correct errors occurred in the PCI-E slots. The options
are Yes and
No
.
