6-10 Installing and Replacing the MicroLP Card
Adapter cards (Figure 6-13) provide hot-swappable functionality to the chassis.
Removing the Adapter Card
1. Remove the serverboard drawer from the chassis.
2. Remove the screws securing the adapter card to the drawer and set them
aside for later use.
3. Remove the adapter card and from the serverboard drawer.
Installing the MicroLP Card
4. Pull out the serverboard node drawer from the chassis. It is not necessary to
power down the system when removing a node.
5. Open the PCI slot clip in the rear of the serverboard node drawer.
6. Remove the PCI slot shield.
7. Slide the MicroLP card into the PCI slot shield and fi t the MicroLP card
bracket with the opening in the rear of the serverboard node drawer.
8. Close and secure the MicroLP card bracket and then secure the MicroLP card
screw.
9. Close the cover, reconnect to the power source and power-up the chassis.
