CHS Format
The following items will be displayed by the BIOS:
TYPE: This item displays the type of IDE or SATA Device.
Cylinders: This item indicates the status of Cylinders.
Headers: This item indicates the number of headers.
Sectors: This item displays the number of sectors.
Maximum Capacity: This item displays the maximum storage capacity of the
system.
LBA Format
The following items will be displayed by the BIOS:
Total Sectors: This item displays the number of total sectors available in the
LBA Format.
Maximum Capacity: This item displays the maximum capacity in the LBA
Format.
Multi-Sector Transfers
This item allows the user to specify the number of sectors per block to be used
in multi-sector transfer. The options are Disabled , 4 Sectors, 8 Sectors, and
16 Sectors.
LBA Mode Control
This item determines whether the Phoenix BIOS will access the IDE Channel 0
Master Device via the LBA mode. The options are Enabled and Disabled.
32 Bit I/O
This option allows the user to enable or disable the function of 32-bit data transfer.
The options are Enabled and Disabled .
Transfer Mode
This option allows the user to set the transfer mode. The options are Standard ,
Fast PIO1, Fast PIO2, Fast PIO3, Fast PIO4, FPIO3/DMA1 and FPIO4/DMA2.
Ultra DMA Mode
This option allows the user to select Ultra DMA Mode. The options are Disabled ,
Mode 0, Mode 1, Mode 2, Mode 3, Mode 4, and Mode 5.
