Complex Programmable Logic Device (CPLD) Header
The Complex Programmable Logic Device, or CLPD, Header (JCPLD1) allows the backplane
to support NVMe devices.
SAS Ports
The X11SPD-F motherboard has two Serial Attached SCSI 3.0 ports (SAS0 and SAS1) where
a SAS add-on card is installed.
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Header
The USB 3.0 Gen 1 header (JUSB3A1) provides a USB connection that is accessible from
the front of the node. A USB cable must first be connected to the header. The cable is not
included.

M.2 Slots
There are two M.2 slots at JMD1 and JMD2. M.2 is formerly known as Next Generation Form
Factor (NGFF). The slots support M-Key NVMe drives in the 2280 form factor.
KVM Connector
The JKVM1 connector provides an interface to the keyboard, monitor, and mouse. The JKVM1
connector is connected to a dongle (see Figure 4-2). The dongle offers two USB 2.0 ports,
one VGA port, and one COM port.
