4.2 Headers and Connectors
8-Pin Power Connector
JPW2 is an 8-pin 12V DC power input for the CPU that must be connected to the power
supply. Refer to the table below for pin definitions.

Important:
To provide adequate power supply to the motherboard, be sure to connect
the 24-pin ATX PWR and the 8-pin PWR connectors to the power supply. Failure to
do so may void the manufacturer warranty on your power supply and motherboard.

Fan Headers
There are six 4-pin fan headers (FAN1 ~ FAN4, FANA, FANB)
on the motherboard.
All
these 4-pin fan headers are backwards compatible with the traditional 3-pin fans. However,
fan speed control is available for 4-pin fans only by Thermal Management via the IPMI 2.0
interface. Refer to the table below for pin definitions.
