5019C-M Power Supply
The 5019C-M has a single high-efficiency power supply, which is auto-switching capable. This
enables it to automatically sense and operate with a 100V to 240V input voltage.
Power Supply Failure
If the power supply unit fails, the system will shut down and you will need to replace the unit.
Replacement units can be ordered directly from Supermicro (see contact information in the
Preface).
Removing the Power Supply
Begin by removing power from the system as described in Section 3.1.
1. Release the retention screws that secure the chassis to the rack, then grasp the two
handles on either side and pull the system straight out until it locks (you will hear a
"click").
2. Next, remove the top chassis cover as described in Section 3.2.
3. To remove the failed power unit, remove the two screws on the back and the single
screw on the front of the power supply, which secure it to the chassis. You can then lift
the unit straight out of the chassis.
Installing a New Power Supply
1. Replace the failed power supply with another identical power supply module (exact
same model).
2. Carefully insert the new module into position in the chassis and secure it with the three
screws you removed previously.
3. Reconnect the AC power cord.
4. Replace the chassis top cover and push the server back into the rack.
5. Finish by pressing the power button on the control panel.
