Low-Profi le Expansion Card Setup
The SC218G supports one low-profi le PCI-E 2.0 (x8) expansion card slot for use
with a riser card. The SC218G chassis has two low-profi le PCI slots available in
order to accomodate a variety of riser card and add-on card combinations.
Installing a Low-Profi le Expansion Card
1. Disconnect the chassis from any power source.
2. Select which one of the two low-profi le PCI-E slots you need to use (depend-
ing on whether using a standard or UIO riser card).
3. Remove the screws securing the PCI-E slot cover and slide the cover side-
ways to remove it.
4. Insert the expansion card into the riser card.
5. Simultaneously slide the expansion card's PCI-E slot bracket into the PCI-E
slot and insert the riser card into the serverboard.
6. Secure the bracket into the slot with the screws provided.
