Hard Drive Backplane

The hard drives plug into a backplane that provides power, drive ID and bus termi-
nation. The supplied RAID controller provides hot-swap capability with SAS/SATA

drive state indication. The backplane is already preconfigured, so no jumper or
switch configurations are required.

Caution:

Use care when working around the backplane. Do not touch the backplane

with any metal objects and make sure no ribbon cables touch the backplane or obstruct

the holes, which aid in proper airflow.
