Serial Ports
Two COM connections (COM1 and COM2) are located on the serverboard. COM1
is located on the rear I/O panel. COM2, located next to CPU2 PCI-E Slot1, provides
front access support.
10G-LAN (TLAN) Ports & IPMI LAN Port
Two Ethernet ports (LAN1/2) are located on the I/O back plane on the serverboard.
These Ethernet ports support 10 GbE connections. In addition, an IPMI LAN port,
located above the USB 0/1 ports, is provided. All these ports accept RJ45 type
cables. Please refer to the LED Indicator Section for LAN LED information.
Unit Identifier Switch/UID LED
Indicator
A rear Unit Identifier (UID) switch/LED
is located next to the VGA port on the
rear I/O shield. The front UID switch
connects to on pin 13 of JF1, and
the front UID LED on pin 7 on JF1.
When you press the front or rear UID
switch, both front and rear UID LEDs
turn on. Press the UID switch again to
turn off the LED indicators. The UID
Indicators provide easy identification
of a system among many.
