HANDLING THIS DEVICE
IMPORTANT NOTE:
We recommend that the
water tank (7) be cleaned before first use according to the
following handling instructions described by boiling water once and then pouring
the water out. In this way, any possible dust or residues from the manufacturing
process can be removed.
•
Unravel the power cord completely.
•
Place the
base station (6) on a stable, even, heat-resistant and water-resistant
surface. Make sure that the device cannot slip or tip over.
•
Open the device
lid (2) by the depression on the lid.
•
Fill the
water tank (7) with cold, clear water. The amount of water must be between
the
water indicator levels (8) of the device. If there is not enough water, the device
can overheat. If there is too much water, the boiling water can spray out.
•
Fill the
water tank (7) with fresh, cold water for every boiling cycle. Pour out any
remaining, cooled-down and / or stagnant water out of the
water tank (7).
•
Then close the
lid (2) by pressing it down. The lid (2) audibly locks into place.
•
Put the
water tank (7) on the base station by placing the contact openings over the
base station’s (6) contact plugs and connect the plug to the mains.
•
CAUTION: Make sure that the
spout (1) of the water tank (7) is not pointed toward
people or objects because hot steam escapes during the boiling cycle! Risk of burns!
•
Switch the water kettle on by switching the
On / Off switch (5) to
I
. The
power light
(3) then switches on. The water is now heating up.
•
Make sure that the
