Installing Gas Conversion Kits
WARNING
The gas supply shall be shut OFF prior to disconnecting the electrical power, before proceeding
with the conversion.
AVERTISSEMENT
Avant d’effecteur la conversion, coupez d’abord l’alimentation en gaz, ensuite, coupez
l’alimentation electrique.
1.
TURN OFF THE GAS SUPPLY TO THE FIREPLACE and disconnect power supply at the circuit breaker. Ensure
fireplace is cold.
2.
If installed, remove the barrier and bezel.
3.
If installed, remove the surround.
4.
Remove the glass door (

Remove the glass media (

6.
Remove floors if installed.
7.
Remove the two (2) screws securing the burner assembly. Remove the burner assembly with the attached
venturi tube (

).
8.
Remove the control compartment access door and gasket (

Refer to the instructions provided with the SIT regulator conversion kit. Using a Torx T20 driver (with 1/4”
shank) or slotted screwdriver, remove and discard the two (2) pressure regulator mounting screws, pressure
regulator tower, the diaphragm assembly (if applicable) and the spring. Ensure the rubber gasket installed on the
back of the replacement pressure regulator is properly positioned. Discard all removed components.
10.
Install the new pressure regulator assembly using the supplied screws. Tighten the screws to 25 in. lbs.
11.
Install the enclosed identification label to the valve body where it can be easily seen.
