SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

1.

Always wear safety glasses, a dust mask, and proper clothing to
avoid contact with any chemicals or dangerous materials that are
being applied by this spreader.

2.

Always remove any contents that are in the spreader’s hopper
before attaching, detaching, or lifting the unit.

3.

Always refer to the load rating for the towing vehicle which
should be located in the vehicle’s owners manual.  Make sure
that the weight of the unit plus the weight of the contents in the
hopper do not exceed that of the vehicles recommended load
rating.

4.

To avoid damage to this unit and prevent personal injury
NEVER load the hopper heavier than the maximum limit
specified.

5.

Stay clear of all moving and spinning parts of this unit.

6.

Always follow directions from the package of the material you
are applying with this unit.

7.

This unit is not designed to spread sand or gravel. These abrasive
materials can cause premature failure of the unit.

Operation Instructions

1.

After assembling unit, attach to the hitch of ATV or lawn tractor.

2.

Read and follow directions on the package of the material being
spread by this unit.

3.

Fill hopper with desired material to be spread by this unit not
exceeding maximum load of 125lbs.

4.

Adjust the flow control arm (Ref. #44) on the flow control plate
(Ref. #41) so that it is at the desired setting.  Then tighten the
wing nut (Ref. #43) on the gauge assembly to set the desired
opening.  This allows the driver to set the opening to the same
place each time of use.

5.

Begin to tow the unit to initiate spreading.

6.

Oil or grease axle/moving parts periodically depending on usage.

7.

Always clean and dry entire unit after each use to avoid rust and
