APPENDIX B 

 

Install FFDSHOW Codec

The FFDSHOW codec installer is provided on the software CD included with your DVR . Install this codec if the software on your PC 
does not play AVI formatted files backed up from the DVR . To install FFDSHOW:

1 . 

Insert the Software CD into an optical drive in your PC . Play or AutoPlay the disk if the following window does not 
automatically open . 

2 . 

Click 

INSTALL FFDSHOW CODEC

 . 

3 . 

In the next window that opens, select the language you prefer from the drop down list, and then click 

OK

 . 

4 . 

When the “Welcome to the ffdshow Setup Wizard” window appears, click 

NEXT

 . 

5 . 

When the “License Agreement” window appears, read the complete agreement carefully . If you accept the terms of the 
agreement, click
