1. Introduction
1.1. Product description
Super B starter batteries are Lithium Iron Phosphate rechargeable batteries, especially
developed for motorsports. Compared to conventional lead acid batteries, the Super B starter
batteries save up to 80% in space and weight. They recharge very fast, have a long service
life and a low self discharge.
Please note that Li-ion batteries have to be treated differently from conventional lead-acid
batteries. We kindly ask you to pay attention to the warnings as mentioned on the battery:
1. Do not jumpstart, as high currents on a flat battery may damage it permanently.
2. Use a correct charging profile, as described in this manual.
3. Make sure the battery does not get deeply discharged. If the battery has no charge
remaining when you check it, consider it to be damaged. Do not attempt to recharge or use it.
4. This battery is specially developed for motorsport. If you want to use it on road, please
consult Super B.
In Appendix I, the Declaration of Conformity for Super B starter batteries is given.
