This feature scans the line to
determine which services are
supported. It can run the test for
both the local switch, as well as
for a distant phone number.

Use this procedure:
1. Press AUTO while in any ISDN-BRI menu screen and select
AUTO SERVICE SCAN. See the screen in Figure 19.
2. Select SCAN MODE and choose:
• LOCAL (F1): Scan the local switch for supported services.
• DISTANT (F2): Scan a distant ISDN line. In this case, enter
the DISTANT PHONE NUMBER that will be tested.
3. Select SPID NUMBER and choose the number to check. Dif-
ferent services can be supported on each SPID so check the
configuration of both SPIDs.
• SPID1 (F1): Test the first SPID.
• SPID2 (F2): Test the second SPID.
• If testing a P-P or ETSI circuit, SPIDs are not used.
4. Press F4 to start the test and see Figure 20.

The symbols have the following meanings:
• ok: This is a valid service supported for this SPID or line.
• no: This is not supported for this SPID or circuit.
• –: This has yet to be checked.
