Procedure 11 - Sideguards
Sideguards support the user and prevent clothes from getting dirty. Although these need little maintenance, replacement is
shown below.
11.1: Screw in sideguards
Remove the rear wheels. Using a 4mm allen key from the
toolkit, release the 3 screws in the sideguard. To install, secure
all screws but do not tighten until all are in position. Take care
not to cross thread the screws.
11.2: Lift out sideguards
Remove sideguards from receiver. Using a 4mm allen key
from the toolkit, release the 2 screws securing the sideguard
to the lift out post. To install, replace and tighten the 2
screws. Take care not to cross thread the screws.
11.3: Fold flat sideguards
Using a 3mm allen key from the toolkit, remove the 4 screws
from the inside of the sideguard. To install, secure all screws
but do not tighten until all are in position. Take care not to
cross thread the screws.
11.4: Flip back sideguards
Using a 4mm allen key from the toolkit, release the screws
securing the sideguard to the lift out post. To install, replace
and tighten the 2 screws. Take care not to cross thread the
screws.
