The 8418UHD incorporates an HDBaseT receiver.
A front IR receiver is incorporated into the design to extend the IR via the HDBaseT Transmitter and Receiver installation.
The IR repeater is dedicated to the integrated HDBaseT receiver and cannot be used with any other IR extender.
