The OEM-supplied fan (when required for CPU modules
with pin fin heatsinks in demanding system
configurations) must be 12 VDC, variable speed with
sensor feedback to detect a failed fan

Note –
When supplied by Sun for modules with straight fin heatsinks (e.g., 360
MHz, part number 501-5148-xx; 440 MHz, part number 501-5149-xx), this fan is part
of the CPU module hold-down bracket (see FIGURE C-6 on page C-9 for an
illustration).
