Setting the Autonegotiation Mode
By default, autonegotiation is set to
on
. This means that the adapter communicates
with its link partner to determine a compatible network speed, duplex mode, and
flow control capability.

To Disable Autonegotiation Mode
If your network equipment does not support autonegotiation, or if you want to
specify your network speed, you can set autonegotiation to off on the
ipge
device.
Note –
Disabling autonegotiation mode can cause collisions.
