7-SHRED-1-H GRINDER
3-1
SECTION 3 MAINTENANCE
Review all warnings and cautions prior to grinder
maintenance.
Table 3-1 is the recommended grinder inspection
and lubrication schedule. Table 3-2 lists the
lubricants recommended for grinder maintenance.
Tasks require from 15 minutes minimum to 60
minutes maximum. Seal inspection may take from
four to eight hours if the grinder has to be removed.
Maintenance tasks are based on personnel
experienced in same or similar equipment and
familiar with the basic operation, safety, emergency
procedures, general plant safety, and use of plant
tools/maintenance equipment.
Recommended intervals based on normal
operation usage. Increase the frequency of
inspections in harsh environments. Refer to
Paragraph 3.2.1 for interval frequencies for motor
service in severe or extreme conditions.
Contact JWCE or a local service representative if
any damage, defects, or suspected problems are
identified or for any maintenance recommendation
questions.
Refer to Section 5 for the removal/replacement
instructions for grinder components. Refer to the
Section 6 for grinder drawings and parts lists.
