Submit Trim Values:
The Submit Trim Values button
is located below the field for channel 16. To save
changes made to any or all of the sixteen trim fields
requires that the Submit Trim Values button be
pressed.
Clear Trim Values:
The Clear Trim Values button is
located directly below the Submit Trim Values button.
Pressing this button will cause all sixteen trim fields
to go to a value of 0.0. This function can be useful,
returning the nominal level of all sixteen input chan-
nels to –20 dBFS. But care must be taken so as not
to disturb any revised values that may have previously
been entered.
The configured delay time is referenced to the Model
792 being configured for a sample rate of 48 kHz in
the Dante Controller application. In this case, the de-
lay range would be 0 to 999 milliseconds. For other
sample rates the time must be linearly scaled. For
example, if the Model 792 is configured for a sample
rate of 96 kHz the actual delay range would be 0 to
499 milliseconds. In this case, selecting a delay of 128
will result in an actual time delay of 64 milliseconds.
Submit:
The Submit button is located below the field
for delay. To save changes made to the label and/
or delay fields requires that the Submit button be
pressed.
Trim:
Each of the sixteen channels associated with
the Dante Surround Input can have its level individu-
ally adjusted (“trimmed”). The range is –20.0 to +20.0
in 0.1-dB steps. This function can be used to allow the
relative level of the various channels to be matched.
It can also be used to compensate for an input signal
that doesn’t support the Model 792’s nominal Dante
level of –20 dBFS.
