The contrast settings of the display can be adjusted to suit the
individual preferences.
The language can be set to either English, German or French.
The position of the cut-off wheel and the Automatic Cutting Table
(optional) can be displayed in either mm or inches.
In the setting: On, Unitom-5 automatically stops cutting, when
the workpiece has been cut through.
In the setting: Off, Unitom-5 will only stop when it reaches the
pre-set stop position or the STOP
o
key is pressed.
After cutting or after pressing STOP
o
, the return movement of
the cut-off wheel can be set to three different functions:
Top: Unitom-5 automatically retracts the cut-off wheel to the top
position.
Start: Unitom-5 automatically retracts the cut-off wheel to the
original position of the cut-off wheel, at the time you pressed
START
s
.
Stay: The cut-off wheel stays down. Use the Stay function for
bakelite bonded diamond or CBN cut-off wheels, as retraction
might destroy the rim of the cut-off wheel.
In the setting: On, Unitom-5 will reduce the pre-set feed speed, if
it is too high in relation to the cutting situation.
In the setting: Off, Unitom-5 will maintain the pre-set feed speed
throughout the cutting process. However, this might result in a
motor stopping due to overload.
The factory setting of every single value can be restored by
pressing the function key F1 when the appropriate value is
highlighted.
