To achieve an initial stitch as even as possible it is also important to set an
even, synchronised transport movement.
Feed movement
3.7.1
The machine is equipped at the works with a saw-toothed feed dog (1).
Feed dog (lower feed) (Fig. 7)
This can be adjusted by turning the bolt with eccentric (4) parallel to the stitch
plate.
For sensitive sewing material we recommend a textile coated feed dog.

The machine (cl. 3100D-R) is equipped at the works with a saw-toothed feed
dog for fabric hems (with half-lined jackets).
Feed dog (upper feed)
For lining hems the pyramid-toothed feed dog supplied with accessories should
be fitted.
The machine (cl. 31OD) is equipped with a pyramid-toothed feed dog for lining
hems.
For fabric hems the saw-toothed feed dog supplied with accessories should be
fitted.
For sensitive sewing material, we recommend a textile-coated feed dog.
