3.1.2
Fitting is carried out in reverse order.
Care must be taken that the side transporter and the levers for the side plunger
and the side presser are again in the correct position.
Fitting the stitch plate
3.1.3
The theoretic needle radius of 43.6 mm should be smaller by 0.15 – 0.20 mm at
the right channel of the needle slide plate and 0.01 – 0.04 smaller at the left
channel of the needle slide plate, that means is, a satisfactory needle is lifted at
both needle channels. At the left needle channel it is important that the needle
is in contact with the needle channel for the length of at least
8 – 10 mm (measured from the point). These values are set at the works via the
eccentric bush in the head, checked with a dial gauge and then the bush is
drilled. The base of the stitch plate radius must be lower than the theoretic
needle radius between 0.02 and 0.15 mm, that means that the needle has air.
Adjusting the stitch plate

Adjusting the needle (Fig. 2)

Disconnect machine from the mains!
Care must be taken that the needle at the left penetration is in contact with its
right side to the left side of the needle slide plate separation web 0 to 0.1 mm.
This dimension can be set by sliding the needle slide plate. The needle must
then at the right penetration run past the right side of the separation web by
approx. 0.2 +0.1 mm.
This over stitch width is set with the setting ring (14) which sits on bolt (15) of
the needle lever.
