4.1 Menu navigation
<= =>
By pressing both arrows
simultaneously one enters the
menu-mode. With the individual
arrows the settings of the
different options in the menu
can be altered.
Hold

Save alteration and move on to
thenext menu-option.
OFF
Delete alteration and move on
to the next menu-option.
Using the ”enter” or ”escape” key to move on
through the menu one finally returns to the
measuring-mode.
4.2 Setup menu: Change settings
In this menu the instrument settings can be
changed. This menu can only be activated once
the memory-mode is switched off.
1. Enter menu (<= =>), ‘MEMORY’ appears in
the text-field.
2. Select ”MEMORY OFF” with arrows keys <=
or => and push Hold
↵.
3. If the memory was already switched off the
”SET UP” menu appears. If not repeat step
1 and 2.
4. Press Hold
↵
(enter) to enter the setup-menu
or OFF to leave setup-menu.
4.2.1 cycle
Automatic change of displayed parameter after
a number of seconds which can be set by the
user between 0 and 10 seconds. Once the
number is set to ”0” (default) the parameters
does not change automatically but only by using
the arrow keys in measuring-mode.
4.2.2 year
Setting of present date starting with the year. If
at this point the "OFF " key is pressed one
moves directly on to the time settings. Otherwise
the current year can be set using the arrow keys
and confirmed with the "Hold
↵
" key .Month
and day are following and can be set in the
same way.
The year can be set between 0 and 99
representing respectively the year 2000 and
2099.
4.2.3 month
Setting of the current month. Choice between
1 to 12 represents January until December.

4.2.4 day
Setting of current day, choice between 1 and
the number of days the just chosen months
contains.
4.2.5 hour
Setting of the time in 24 hour format. Hours
can be chosen between 0 and 23 hour.
(0-12 hour is AM, 12-24 is PM. For example
16.00 hour is 4.00 clock PM)

4.2.6 minute
Setting of minutes between 0 and 59.
4.2.7 units
Setting of the temperature units to be used.
Choice between Centigrade and Fahrenheit, the
date format follows automatically the chosen
temperature unit.
4.2.8 bright
Setting of the display-contrast. Due to
temperature and change of battery-power the
contrast of the display may change. The contrast
can be altered between factor –7 and +8. The
result of the choice is directly visible at the
display.
