Installation (Cont.)
Charcoal filters
• If you intend to use the rangehood with the air recirculating back into the
kitchen, it is important that you also install a set of charcoal filters as in
recirculating mode the extracted air is circulated back into the room.
• This rangehood comes with a set of charcoal filters. As they have to be
replaced regularly, we have included installation instructions for these
filters in the “Cleaning and maintenance” section. Install the charcoal
filters as described on page 17.
Exhaust ducting pipe
• The exhaust ducting pipe and air
outlet needs to be affixed to the
top of the rangehood, unless you
want to rear-mount it to a wall
and have the extracted air blow
directly back into the kitchen, if no
top cupboard is present.
• Fit the flexible exhaust ducting
pipe and the air outlet to the
hole on top of the rangehood, as
illustrated (Fig. 2).
• Once the rangehood is installed, lead the other end of the ducting pipe to
the outside through the opening in the wall/ceiling, or through the top of
the cupboard back into the kitchen.
Rear-mounting to the wall
• Using a spirit level, mark a horizontal line on the wall where the rangehood
base will be, observing all necessary clearances (Fig. 3). Check the
required clearances in your cooktop/stove manual and, should they be
greater than those specified in Fig. 3, make sure to observe them.
