11.2 Testing Auger Brake

Engage the auger brake.
N
Start the engine.
N
Open the throttle wide for no more than 3 seconds –
the auger must not rotate.
N
With the engine at idle speed, disengage the auger
brake.
N
Open the throttle wide.
N
Activate the auger brake manually – the auger must
come to a standstill without any perceptible delay.
11.3 Removing the Brake Band

Preparations,

Disengage the auger brake.

Remove handlebar together with control handle,

Remove the powerhead,
N
Remove clutch housing together with gearbox,

Remove clutch housing from the gearbox,

Remove the clutch drum,

Take out the screw (12).

Remove the cover (11).
N
Remove the cover (18).

Engage the auger brake.
