► Select the correct starting procedure.
► Place the cultivator on a level surface so that
the blades do not touch the ground or other
objects.

► Press the manual fuel pump bulb (1) at least
five times.
► Move the choke lever (2) to position .
► Press down the throttle trigger lockout (4) and
hold it there.
► Pull the throttle trigger (5) and hold it there.
► Move the slide control (3) to position
and hold it there.
► Release the throttle trigger (5) and lockout
lever (4).

► Hold the cultivator firmly with your left hand on
the frame and press down.
► Pull the starter grip slowly with your right hand
until you feel it engage.
► Pull the starter grip quickly and allow the
starter rope to rewind several times until the
engine fires and stops.
► If the engine does not stop: Move the choke
lever (2) to position so that the engine does
not flood.
