 4.1  UNPACKING

1. 

Remove all the unassembled parts from the box.

2. 

Take out the machine 

 

and dispose of the box and 

packaging in compliance with local regulations.

 4.2  HANDLE ASSEMBLY

Install the RH (Fig.4.A) and LH (Fig.4.B) lower parts. Fit 

the upper part of the handle (Fig.4.C) and apply the cable 

clamp (Fig.4.D).

 4.3  GRASS CATCHER ASSEMBLY

5.  CONTROLS

 5.1  SWITCH COMMAND

The switch control starts/stops the engine and at the same 

time engages/disengages the cutting means.

The positions shown correspond to:

Operation.

 To start the device, press the 

safety button (Fig.6.A), pull one of the two 

levers (Fig.6.B) and wait for 2-3 seconds for 

the engine to start.

Stopping.

 The engine automatically stops 

when both levers are released (Fig.6.B).

  When the engine starts, the cutting 

means is also engaged.

 5.2 

CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

 Do this when the cutting means is stationary.

  Do not tilt the wheel axis during this operation, 

so as to allow it to enter at the same time in one of the 

available grooves.

6.  USING THE MACHINE

 6.1  PRELIMINARY PROCEDURES

Place the machine in a stable horizontal position on the 

ground.

 6.1.1 

Preparing the machine before starting work

a. 

Preparation for grass cutting and collection in the 

grass catcher:

1. 

Lift the rear discharge guard (Fig.8.A) and hook the 

grass catcher correctly, as indicated in the figure 

(Fig.8.B).

 6.1.2 

Cutting height adjustment

Adjust the cutting height as indicated in (par. 5.2).

 6.2  SAFETY CHECKS

Always carry out the safety checks before use.

 6.2.1 

Safety check before every use

• 

Check the integrity and the correct mounting 

of all components of the machine;

• 

make sure that all fastening devices are correctly tightened;

• 

keep all surfaces of the machine clean and dry

.

 6.2.2  Machine operating test

Action

Result

Start the machine (section 

6.3 );

The cutting means should 

move.

Release the switch control 

levers.

The engine must turn off 

and the cutting means must 

stop within a few seconds.

Test driving

No abnormal vibrations.

No abnormal sound.

  If any of the results fail to match the indications 

provided in the tables, do not use the machine! Contact 

an Authorised Service Centre to have it checked and 

repaired if necessary.

 6.3 

START-UP

NOTE

 Start up the machine on a flat surface without ob-

stacles or high grass.

1. 

Hook the extension cable correctly, according to the 

indications (Fig.9.A).

2. 

FIRST connect the power cable plug to the extension 

cable (Fig.9.B) and THEN the extension cable to the 

mains socket (Fig.9.C).

3. 

To start the engine, press the safety button (Fig.9.D) 

and pull the lever (Fig.9.E) of the switch.

 6.4  OPERATION

IMPORTANT

 If the motor stops because it is overheated 

whilst mowing, you must wait approximately 5 minutes be-

fore restarting it.

IMPORTANT

 When working, always keep a safe dis-

tance from the cutting means, given by the length of the 

handle.

 6.4.1  Grass cutting

1. 

Start moving forward and mowing the grass area.

2. 

Adjust the cutting height (par. 5.2) according to the 

lawn conditions (grass height, density and humidity).

3. 

It is recommended to always cut at the same time in the 

two directions (Fig.10.0), removing maximum 1/3 of the 

height of the lawn (Fig.11.0).

 6.4.2  Grass catcher emptying

For grass catcher with contents indicator device:

Lifted = empty

Lowered = full

During operation, when the cutting means is moving, 

the indicator stays lifted as long as the grass catcher 

can collect the cut grass; when it is lowered, it means 

that the grass catcher is full and must be emptied.

To remove and empty the grass catcher:

1. 

Wait until the cutting means stops (Fig.12 A);

2. 

Remove the grass catcher (Fig.12.B/C/D).

 6.5  STOPPING THE MACHINE

After having stopped the machine, it will take a few 

seconds for the cutting means to stop.

IMPORTANT

 Always stop the machine:

Release the switch control lever (Fig. 13.A).

2. 

Wait until the cutting means stops;
