cutting tool and position it as shown.

Replace the temperature selector.
5. Cleaning, care and maintenance
Note
Avoid abrasive or corrosive cleaning products.
Clean the surfaces when cold, using a soft cloth and ordinary
cleaning products.
6. Troubleshooting
Problem
Cause
Remedy
The heated air smells
unpleasant.
This can be caused by
dust during commis-
sioning.
The smell will dissipate within
a few minutes.
The appliance does
not heat up.
The MCB/fuse has re-
sponded/blown.
Replace the fuse/reset the
MCB.
The temperature sensor
is damaged (heating
indicator flashes 3 times
on start-up)
Call your qualified contractor.
The mains voltage to the
appliance is too high
(heating indicator flash-
es 5 times on start-up).
Switch the appliance off. Call
your qualified contractor.
The appliance heats
continuously.
The appliance is subject
to a continuous draught.
Remedy the cause of the
draught.
The temperature setting
was changed.
Set the required room tem-
perature at the temperature
selector.
There is a fault with the
power supply.
Disconnect the appliance
from the power supply for
10 minutes and then switch it
back on. If the problem occurs
regularly, arrange for your
power supply utility to check
the power supply.
The 24 h automatic
function is not work-
ing.
There was a power
failure.
Set the 24 h automatic func-
tion again.
The clocks have changed
to summer/wintertime.
Set the 24 h automatic func-
tion again.
The elements at the
very top and bottom
don't get as warm as
the rest of the appli-
ance.
The elements at the
top are not completely
filled.
The heating medium expands
when it gets warm. It takes
a little longer for these ele-
ments to heat up.
Dirty marks appear
on the wall around
the appliance.
Dirty marks are caused
by contaminated air
(candles, cigarette
smoke, poor ventilation,
etc.).
Avoid contaminating the in-
door air.
The boost function is
terminated prema-
turely
The room temperature
is too high. For safety
reasons, the appliance
has automatically
switched off the rapid
heater prematurely.
Switch the appliance off. Wait
at least 10 minutes before
switching the appliance back
on.
If you cannot remedy the fault, notify your qualified contractor.
To facilitate and speed up your request for assistance, provide the
number from the type plate (000000-0000-000000).
The type plate is located at the bottom, on the right hand side of
the appliance.
