Start-up
Standard mode
After laying the cables for all external components:
- Connect the mains supply lead to the control unit and switch on.
- Press the "OPEN" vent switch: the drives and windows will open.
- Press the "CLOSE" vent switch: the drives and windows will close.
- Press the "Open" vent switch: the drives and windows will open.
- Wet the rain sensor surface with water: the drives and windows will close.
Note:
While the snow or rain command is operating the system will not react to the vent switch OPEN command.
- Press the "Open" vent switch: the drives and windows will open.
- Apply wind to the wind detector for approx. 20 seconds (delay time): the drives will close.
- If the trial run fails, repeat the start-up procedure!
Solar mode:
In solar mode the WRM/2 24V wind and rain detector or RM/2 24V rain detector switches to energy saving mode. DIP
switches 1 and 2 must be switched to the OFF position. The jumper must be set to positions 1 and 4. In this mode the
rain sensor surface heating is deactivated. The wind pulse output (Ws) is used to trigger activation in wet or windy
conditions. The wind trigger threshold can also be pre-programmed via DIP switches 5 and 6 . No activation delay is
possible in this mode.

Malfunctions and remedies
Problem :
drives / windows do not close in the event of rain/snow
Possible cause:
- connecting cable defective or incorrectly connected
- DIP switch configuration incorrect
- jumper in incorrect position
Corrective action:
- check connecting cable and connect correctly where necessary
- set DIP switch correctly as required
- correct jumper position
Problem :
Drives / windows do not close in strong wind
Possible cause:
- DIP switch not correctly set (wind trigger deactivated /wind threshold set too high / wind
delay set too high /no wind pulse output)
- jumper in incorrect position
- connecting cable defective or incorrectly connected
Corrective action:
- set DIP switch correctly as required (activate wind trigger /set wind threshold lower / reduce
wind delay / activate wind pulse output, eg for wind-rain control units)
- correct jumper position
- check connecting cable and connect correctly where necessary
