Fuselage Nose, Top –
Fit and bond the alignment-former F31 to the slots in F1, straddling
the
rear
of parts F2.

Fit and bond the instrument panel, former F32 (sheet 05/10, 1/20 in. balsa) to the notches in
the fuselage sides and the slot in F7,
behind
former F5. Orient F32 so that the etched
instrument panel faces the
rear
.
38.
Assemble the nose sheeting from parts F33a and F33b (sheet 02/10, 1/20 in. balsa) and
bond with CA. Moisten one side of the F33 assembly with glass cleaner. Allow it to soak in
for a few minutes.
39.
Position F33, moist side out, over formers F4, F31, F5, and F32. Fit F33 to the tabs at the
top
of the formers. Wrap F33 over formers F5 and F32, and hold in place with low tack,
blue painter’s tape until dry.
40.
While F33 is drying, press one part F34 (sheet 09/10, 3/16 in. balsa) down into the pockets
on each side of the nose against former F31. Make sure that they are flush against the
right
and
left
fuselage sides. Bond with CA.
41.
Position parts F35 (sheet 09/10, 3/16 in. balsa) over parts F34. Ensure that they are flush
against the fuselage sides. Bond with CA.
42.
Position parts F36 (sheet 09/10, 3/16 in. balsa) over both F35s. Position them flush against
the fuselage sides. Bond with CA.
43.
Position parts F37 (sheet 09/10, 3/16 in. balsa) over both F36s. Position both F37s flush.
