7.6.2 Adjustment of the pallet lifting mechanism
1.
With the lever in position 3 (see
), move the drawbar up and down. If the
adjustment is correct, the cylinder should now give about 8mm lift per stroke.
2.
Set the lever to position 2 and move the drawbar up and down; the cylinder will now
not lift if the setting is correct.
3.
If the cylinder lifts, loosen nut 1 and turn the adjusting screw clockwise.
4.
If the cylinder sinks down, turn the adjusting screw anti-clockwise until the cylinder
no longer sinks. Raise the cylinder to the top position and set the lever to position 1;
the cylinder should now be lowered.
5.
If it does not lower, or only does so slowly, tighten the adjusting screw a little.
6.
Repeat these steps until the movements at each lever position are correct.
7.
Once the adjustments are correct, re-tighten nut 1.
