NOTE: Replace (do not reuse) hydraulic screws and
sealing washers (see Figure 7-18). Ensure bolt
threads, manifold threads and hose connectors are
free of rubber seal particles.
9. Carefully return cylinder to table base and fasten
with three new mounting screws. Ensure not to
crimp hydraulic cable.
10. Operate floor lock several times to ensure proper
operation. Inspect for leaks as follows:
a.
Fully extend floor locks.
b.
Visually check for signs of dripping oil from
cylinder.
c.
Run finger along cylinder shaft to check for
hydraulic fluid. A slight film is normal and is
required to lubricate seals.
d.
If oil is excessive enough to form a drip, replace
cylinder.
7.9 FLOOR LOCK FOOT (LEVELING
MOUNT) REPLACEMENT
Replace floor lock foot or leveling mount as follows:
1. For units built prior to C0406007-017 (non-swivel
foot):
NOTE: If table equipped with original floor lock foot
(non-swivel) is used on a very uneven floor, the
effectiveness of the floor lock system is reduced
when one or more of the feet do not apply enough
pressure on the floor when in fully locked position.
If this situation exists, replace all four feet with new
swivel-foot that is also faster and easier to adjust.
See
Step 2
below to change to new foot.
a.
Remove Floor Lock Cylinder (see
b.
Using thin wrench (P764330-220) to keep
cylinder rod from turning and Allen wrench to
remove screw holding foot to floor lock
assembly, remove foot. Ensure not to damage
cylinder shaft.
c.
Apply Loctite
®1
to screw.
d.
Attach new foot to assembly and tighten screw.

Loctite is a registered trademark of Loctite Corporation, a
Henkel Company.
2. For units built after C0406007-017 or have been
upgraded (with swivel foot):
a.
Remove Floor Lock Cylinder (see
b.
Ensuring not to damage cylinder shaft,
carefully remove swivel foot or leveling mount.
c.
Screw on new foot or mount.
d.
Insert spacer over cylinder and position
between cylinder and table base.
e.
Return Floor Lock Cylinder assembly to table
and secure with three mounting screws.
f.
Adjust foot or leveling mount as necessary and
use locknut to secure (see Figure 7-19).
NOTE: Move table to known level floor. Total
mechanical adjustment for the swivel foot is ¼"
(6.4 mm) starting from full in position.

7.10 CASTER REPLACEMENT
Replace a faulty caster as follows:
1. Engage floor locks.
2. Remove table column cover per
3. Remove appropriate base cover per
4. Remove flat washer, lockwasher and nut fastening
caster to table base (see Figure 7-20).
5. Replace faulty caster and reassemble in reverse
order.
6. Torque nut to 20 N•m (177 lbf•in).

7. Move table to a known level floor. Ensure table does
not rock when on casters. If rocking is discovered,
proceed as follows:
a.
Identify casters not contacting floor. Mark one
for shim placement.
