4.2 Set Network
There are 8 options of network setting:
Ip Type Phone Ip Subnetmask Router
Dns0 Dns1 Accounts Password
Different IP allocation methods have different settings. Detailed settings are as follows:
IpType (IP acquisition method) has 4 options:
IpType 0 [static] Static manual IP
1 [dhcp] Dynamically and automatically acquired IP, usually distributed
by router
2 [pppoe] PPPoE dial
3 [modem] modem dial
1 IpType 0 [static] has 5 options:
1 Phone IP: default: 192.168.0.88
2 Subnetmask: default: 255.255.255.0
3 Router: default: 192.168.1.1
4 Dns0: default: 0.0.0.0
5 Dns1: default: 0.0.0.0
Static IP is set, while the user needs to set IP address, Subnetmask, router IP and
Dns address manually.
The above five addresses can be got from administrator or Internet service
provider.
Factory setting is defaulted. The related values should be set according to
operation system and network.
If Phone IP is not among the above default settings, it is the IP address distributed
to dynamic IP by the factory default setting, dhcp, of Ip Type.
Prompt: Different IP addresses cannot be set for the same segment.
2 Ip Type 1 [dhcp] IP address and other network parameters of router dynamic
distribution telephone
Use dynamic host computer configuration protocol to distribute IP address and
other network parameters.
Ip Type factory default setting of the telephone is dynamic distribution. If your
network doesn’t support dynamic distribution or you don’t want to use this method,
you can use another method. (For the details, please see the Demonstration of
Simple Setting in page 11.)
3 Ip Type 2 [pppoe] has 2 options:
