Working with the unit
CAUTION! The color of the strap from which the sling is made corresponds to
the permissible working load of the sling!
BEFORE USE:
a)
Check the sling certificate before first use.
b)
Read instructions carefully before first use!
c)
Check that the sling is free from defects and damage before each use. Do not
use a sling which is damaged in any way, including, but not limited to, worn,
cut, torn, perforated, or has cracked or worn seams, or if the appearance of
the sling in any way casts doubt on its strength.
d)
The sling shall be matched to the type, size and weight of the load, type of
attachment, and working environment (temperature, chemically active
environment, etc.).
e)
The sling shall be long enough so that when it is installed on the load, the
proper angles for the tie rods are maintained. The rated capacity of the sling
will change depending on the angle of the sling.
f)
Before using this product, the weight of the load must be determined. The
weight of the load should be within the rated capacity of the sling, i.e., less
than or equal to the allowable working load.
g)
Care should be taken to ensure that the work environment or the load itself
does not adversely affect the sling.
h)
Make sure that the sling does not damage the load.
i)
Loading a sling beyond the capacity indicated on the rating plate is forbidden.
Pay attention to the angle of connection between sling and load, which affects
rated capacity (Table 1).
j)
The attachment (e.g., hook, shackle) must be of the proper shape and size for
the sling loop to be properly seated on it. The sling loop should not be bent or
wrinkled. This indicates an improperly chosen sling accessory.
k)
Before using accessories for a sling, make sure that they have at least the same
load capacity as the sling.
