INSTALLATION OF SECOND SIDE
(Frame B or Side C)
1.
To install frame B or side C, unlock all lock rods by
rotating them outward.
TIP: Frames/Sides will not install properly if lock rods
are not unlocked. Push lock rods into bracket to keep
into unlocked position.
2.
Lift frame B by hand or side C with suction cups. Insert
in opening, lifting as much as possible. Ensure that all lock
rods clear edges of frame/panel (2a & 2b).
TIP: Use “Captured Glass Trim Tool” to gently align
side C trim to catch on brackets (2c).
NOTE: When side C is inserted, inspect for any
internal trapped dirt between the glass panes. Remove
and clean if necessary. Inspect assembly from side A.
Make sure all flanges around the inside perimeter of the
side frame B or side C are properly (tightly) aligned to
side A. If not, remove skin and reinsert.
NOTE: Any impact directly on frame/side will cause damage
to the product. If impact is required, ALWAYS use “Trim and
Glass Tool” between the skin and soft mallet and strike
squarely on the face.
3.
Check for complete installation of frame B / side C by verifying that
the frame B inside finish flange is within 1/32” of the plastic glazing strip
supporting the side A glass and is flush to side A along entire perimeter.
4.
Secure frame B / side C by rotating lock rods inward. Push visible
lock rods behind frame B / side C with “Skin Removal Tool”.
