∙
Sauté the food directly in the cooking pot before the lid is closed.
∙
Slow Cook does not require steam pressure. When the lid is put on, a small pressure
builds up, which is regulated by the pressure valve at 4.5 psi.
∙
Frozen food takes 10 minutes longer.
∙
A beep sounds after the cooking time has expired. The steam pressure is automa-
tically released. If there is no more steam pressure in the device, the lid lock opens
automatically and the device switches to keep warm mode (70°C for max. 10 hours).
∙
If you want to change from the automatic pressure release “AON” set to the ma-
nual pressure release “AOFF”, press the pressure release button (No. 6) and cancel
(No. 8) together for 2 seconds.
∙
After the warm-up time has elapsed, the device switches to stand-by and then
switches off finally after 5 minutes. Unplug it.
∙
Note:
∙
If the lid is not closed properly, the display shows “LID”.
∙
When manually releasing the pressure, keep a sufficient distance from the
pressure release valve. With the automatic pressure release, make sure that
you are at a sufficient distance from the pressure release valve when the
pressure is released (after the end of the cooking time).
Cooking rice
∙
Never use rice bags, only put loose rice in the cooking pot.
The rice should be
cleaned with cold water in a sieve and put them into the inner pot.
∙
Add water with the measuring cup:
o E.g. 2 measuring cups rice add 3 measuring cups water
∙
You can add spices such as chili, garlic etc. to the water. For wild and brown rice,
add in addition to the above mentioned amounts half a measuring cup of water
more.
∙
In various types of rice, it may be a slight browning of the rice grains on the bottom
of the pot. This cannot be prevented by design.
Steaming:
∙
With the steaming insert it is possible to steam vegetables or fish. Cut the food in
mouth size pieces and place it equally on the steaming insert. The vegetables must
not protrude over the edge of the insert.
∙
Two cups of water should be poured inside the inner pot, then the steaming insert
should be placed inside the pot, close the lid and start the appliance.
