8.  Using a phillips screwdriver, remove the brake bracket cover from the front of the bike (Fig. 10) then push up 

on the cover and pull to remove.

9.  After removign the brake bracket cover, use a #3 hex key to remove the screws securing the brake bracket to 

the frame (Fig. 11)

10.  Pull the brake bracket out of the front of the frame to expose the c clip that holds the bracket arm to the 

bracket plate. Using 2 small flathead screwdriver, apply even pressure to both side of the clip to remove it 
(Fig. 12 + 12.1) Please note that the clip may eject with some force and become lost. Once the clip is 
removed remove the pin to separate the bracket arm and bracket plate.
