Preparations
Use pruning shears to first remove the thick branches.
Sequence of cutting
If a round cut is necessary, perform the cut in several
steps.
Cutting techniques
Vertical cut:
Move the blade in an arc to the hedge on and off. Use
both sides of the blade.
Horizontal cut:
Hold the blade at an angle of 0° to 10° and move the
hedge cutter in the horizontal direction.
Move the blade in an arc to the edge of the hedge so
that the wastes fall to the ground.
Horizontal Cut
Cut close to the ground in a standing position, e.g. low
bushes A 19.
Overhead Cut
Hold the shaft straight and set a 90-degree angle of the
blade to the top part of a hedge to be cut A 50.
Applications
Vertical cut
Cutting, without standing directly next to the hedge, e.g.
