Before Assembly
You can use Figure 38 as a reference and familiarize
yourself with the hedge cutter and their various
components. By understanding the device, an excellent
performance, a longer service life and a safe use will be
ensured.
Check the completeness of all components of the unit
before you install the device.
• Cutting attachment
• Blade cover
• Operating instructions
• Check tool kit for routine maintenance Check all
components and make sure that no components are
damaged.
Warning!
Do not make any unauthorized modifications or
alterations to your hedge shears with articulated arm or
their components.
Installation of the tubes
1. Insert the tube with the actuator head (lower tube)
and the upper tube on a clean, level surface so that both
ends can be inserted into each other. The tube with the
actuator head (lower tube) and the protection of the
latch of the the upper tube must point upwards.
Caution: The open ends of the tubes must be clean and
free of dirt!
2. Loosen the screw of the connecting piece.
3. Press the latch downward and slide the tube with the
actuator head (lower tube) up to the limit stop in the
connection piece. Release the latch. Push the upper tube
back and forth until it is locked in the connecting piece.

4. If the two tubes are connected with each other, push
the latch protection in the notch and tighten the screw
of the connection piece. See A 40.
