8 Maintenance and Servicing
8.1 Opening and Closing the Device
Open the two wing screws. Lift the lid until the stop lever engages.
When closing the device, gently push down on the lid until you
have overcome the resistance in the stop lever.
Close lid and tighten wing screws.
8.2 Cleaning the Device
Clean the outside of the machine daily with a dry, lint-free cloth. The use of solvent-containing
cleaning agents may cause damage to the casing parts. Adhesive residue in the area of the
heating plate may be removed with a dry cloth after the pre-heating process. Avoid that any
cleaning material is left behind on the heating plate when cleaning the heating plate, as already
objects as small as 0.2 mm may lead to a device malfunction.
Caution!
There are hot surfaces within the working area (approx. 289°F / 143 °C).
There is danger of getting burned!
Do not use any flammable liquids near the hot device.
8.3 Cleaning the Heating Plate
If there is any adhesive residue on the heating plate, this adhesive may be wiped off with a
cloth.

Switch off device on the main switch.
■
Clean the heating plate with a dry, lint-free cloth
(caution: temperature is 289 ° F/ 143 °C).

When cleaning has been completed, switch on device at the
main switch.
■
If the operating temperature has dropped, the device heats up,
LED A - F light up.
■
When the device has reached operating temperature, press the
"Start" key. Device carries out an automatic calibration.
■
The device is ready for operation again
Caution!
Danger of getting burned at the heating plate. Do not use any chemicals
for cleaning.
