8 Commissioning
Before commissioning, ensure the following:
• Check the mounting and installation.
• If necessary, remove foreign objects.
• Check the tightening torques.

• Set the rotary actuator (1) to position "I"
(ON).
• Insert the coupling piece (2) into the
groove of the rotary actuator (1).
• Mount the plate (3) on the pins of the
rotary actuator (1) (For a rotary
actuator size 3 the plate (3) is replaced
by a bracket).
• Put the disc (4) and the coupling piece
(2) on the plate (3) so that they are
flush with each other. (For disc (4) a
bracket or for a rotary actuator size 3 a
rectangular plate can be used). Make
sure that the rotary actuator is in
position "I".
• Turn the rotary actuator over. Make
sure that the rotary actuator points up
-
wards when it is in its "I" position.
• Also place the enclosure cover on the
rotary actuator in reversed position and
assemble the rotary actuator using the
screws (7), the split washer (6) (V tooth
lock washer in case of plastic
enclosure) and the washer (5). For a
plastic enclosure, a metal ring can be
used instead of a washer (5).
DANGER
Explosion hazard due to incorrect installation!
Non-compliance results in severe or fatal injuries.
• Check the device for proper installation and function before
commissioning.
• Comply with the national regulations.
WARNING
Close the enclosure according to regulations!
The explosion protection is impaired!
• The device may only be operated with completely closed enclosure.
