Mounting instructions

The ideal mounting height for
door intercom systems is between
1.40 m and 1.60 m above floor
level.
For other mounting information,
please see the "Siedle-Vario" Product
Information.

Remove the combination terminal
strip/ connecting adapter from the
module packaging, centre on the re-
taining plate and rotate by appr. 45°
to the left. Latch into position by
rotating it by a quarter of a turn in
clockwise direction so that the termi-
nal designations can be read vertical-
ly positioned one above the other.

Connect the plug of the wide
ribbon cable to the combination
terminal strip. Insert the plug of the
narrow ribbon cable in the "IN"
socket of the connecting adapter.

With slight pressure underpin the
door loudspeaker module into the 2
module slots of the mounting frame
opposite the red plastic bolt. Use
slightly more pressure to lock the
other side into position.
Important

When mounting the BTLM 630-...,
pay attention to the preferred
alignment "TOP" specified on the
back.
Removing the module

Take the door loudspeaker module
out of the mounting frame. The
release mechanism is triggered by
inserting the Vario key with slight
pressure. The opening for the Vario
key is located as illustrated on the
door loudspeaker module.
The Vario key is enclosed with the
mounting frame. To release the call
button module, info module etc.,
see the "Siedle Vario" Product
Information.
Volume control

The potentiometer can be used to
alter the volume at the door. In case
of acoustic feedback, the volume of
the door loudspeaker must be
reduced.

Door release time adjustable from
1-10 sec.
Status on delivery 3 sec.

Link the BTLM with the BTMA for
connection of existing non-Siedle
call buttons.
Care instructions
To retain the optimum appearance
of the Siedle door call station, we
recommend regular cleaning using a
mild soap, by rubbing dry with a soft
cloth.

Remark:
a)
In the case of module lighting
with tubular lamps mounted as
standard, when operating between
2 and 8 modules, a separate trans-
former TR 602-... is required.
If more than 8 module lighting
elements are connected, all tubular
lamps must be exchanged for the
TB 611-... .
b)
In the case of several door
loudspeakers, a jumper may only be
lain once between the terminals Br.
The jumper must be inserted at the
BTLM 630-... which is furthest
distant from the connected
BHT 730-... units.
Programming
Switch on the programming
mode and activate the BTLM/BHT

Open the BHT 730-...

Insert the programming card

Press the door release (DR)
button in the BHT
for at least 1
second.

A signal tone will sound for
around 1 second in the BTLM.
In addition, in the TL the green LED
will light up and either briefly go out
or a red light will flash, and then the
green LED will light up again.
Call button assignment

After the signal tone has stepped
the green LED is alight again, press
the call button at the door loud-
speaker which you wish to program.

The red LED in the BHT lights up
for 3 secs., signalling termination of
the programming process. After the
red LED has gone out, remove the
programming card.

Speech connection will automa-
tically occur if the programming card
is removed within 10 seconds of the
LED going out.

Close the housing and replace
the receiver.
To program other BHTs,
repeat steps 10 to 17.
Parallel operation of 2 BHTs
Carry out steps 10 to 17 and press
the same call button for the second
BHT as for the first BHT.
Important
If the call buttons are programmed
at one door loudspeaker, this pro-
gramming is automatically adopted
by all the other door loudspeakers,
provided all the call button modules
are assigned in the same way.
