Starting problems or poor engine performance 

Engine turns over

quickly.

Engine turns over

slowly.

Battery is good.

Check the connections,
recharge.

1. Fuel

Check if there is fuel
in the fuel tank.

There is fuel.

No fuel.

Remove the fuel hose

from the fuel pump.

Supply fuel.

Check the

fuel flow.

Restart the engine.

No fuel.

Fuel pump is

clogged.

Ask a Regard dealer to

inspect.

2. Compression

There is compression.

No compression.

Use the electric

starter to see if
there is compression. 

Compression normal.

Remove the

spark plug and
check the electrodes.

Wipe clean with dry cloth.

Attach spark plug cap and
ground to chassis.
