8–6 VEHICLE CARE
Do Not Leave Children Alone in the Ve-
hicle
When left alone in the car, a child might
unintentionally start the engine or start a fire
or cause another accident.
WARNING
• In summer, the temperature in your
vehicle rises due to direct sunlight,
and a child who is unable to ad-
just vehicle devices is in danger of
suffocation.
• Do not leave a child alone in the
car with no open windows.
ON THE ROAD
If a Problem Occurs on the Road
•
If a warning light goes on, immediately
stop the vehicle in a safe place and take
emergency measures.
•
If your vehicle suffered a serious blow
to the bottom, immediately stop the ve-
hicle in a safe place and check for fuel
leak or brake fluid spill and for damages
to the car underbody.
•
If you have a sudden puncture or blow-
out on the road, keep your composure,
grip the steering wheel firmly, brake gen-
tly to reduce your speed and then stop
in a safe place.
WARNING
If the front axle and tire were severely
hit on the road and you notice steer-
ing problems (steering wheel shakes
up and down / right and left / in cir-
cular motion), immediately visit to
the nearest Ssangyong Dealer or
Ssangyong Authorized Service Op-
eration to check and repair steering
and suspension parts.
Avoiding Unnecessary Movements
While Driving
•
While driving, do not turn off the ignition
key under no circumstances. Brakes
and power steering will not work.
•
While driving, do not put hands through
the steering wheel to manipulate various
switches. It might interfere with operat-
ing the steering wheel and cause an
accident.
Parking in a Safe Place
Do not park in places where hay, foliage,
paper, rags and oil or other easily inflam-
mable materials are kept.
CAUTION
While driving or after immediately
driving, muffler and exhaust pipe are
hot; inflammable materials near the
vehicle might cause a fire.
