STEP 5
: (Figure 2) Loosen the four (4) screws on Battery Compartment Cover. Remove cover.
STEP 6
: (Figure 2) Attach the Display Cable Connector (#6) to its mate in the Base Assembly.
Slide the extra cable back up into the mast pipe.
STEP 7
: (Figure 2) Install the six (6) “D” cell batteries as
indicated on the Battery Compartment Cover label.
STEP 8
: Re-install Battery Compartment Cover and
secure tightly secure with four (4) cover screws.
STEP 9
:
Return the scale to the upright position.

STEP 10:
(Figure 3)
Insert the Left (#11) and
Right (#12) Side Hand Rails into the Rail Holder
cups on the sides of the Base Assembly (#2).
NOTE:
Ensure Hand Rails are fully inserted
into the cups (it may be necessary to loosen the
Allen screws in the cups to allow the rails to fit
down into cups completely).
STEP 11:
(Figure 3) Remove screws from
the Left and Right Hand Rail securing posts, on
the Mast Assembly (#1). Slide the top of the Left
and Right Hand Rails over the Hand Rail
securing posts.
STEP 12:
Install the screws through the Left
and Right handrails and into the posts. Tighten
these screws, and the Allen head screws in the
cups, to secure the Left and Right Hand Rails
securely in place.
NOTE: Ensure Hand Rails are tightly secure
and do not move.
