7 Projects and Surveys
This section describes how to create pipe surveys (also called
pipe inspections
) and manage projects.
All surveys are contained within an assigned project. The controller generates a report when the project
is exported. See
section 7.4
You can create
basic
or
structured
surveys. For structured surveys the controller supports WRc’s MSCC
3 through 5 survey standards and Spanish and French survey standards
, see
section 7.9

Create a new survey from the Home Screen
Follow these steps:
1. In the home screen (
section 3.2
), press the
Create survey
button.
2. In the
Create survey
dialog, set the survey details:
Survey name:
The survey name defaults to the current date and time, but you can set a custom
name.
Create new project:
Choose whether to add the survey to a new or existing project.
Project name: The project name defaults to the current date and time, but you can set a custom
name.
Format:
Choose one of the following:
