RUNNING ON THE TREADMILL

Warning

Access

Take extreme care when operating in Reverse mode.

This treadmill is designed to operate bidirectionally both Forward and Reverse.

When switching from forward to reverse or from reverse to forward, it is imperative

that the belt first comes to a stop. Do not attempt to switch belt direction before

receiving instruction from an authorized Sports Art representative.

Do not operate treadmill in reverse without the direct supervision of a health care

professional.

1. Make sure the treadmill is fully stopped. If you do not do this step, you

CANNOT access the RESERVE mode.

2. Press the DISTANCE

and CALORIE

keys at the same time. The display will

beep for three times. Then press the DISTANCE

and CALORIE

keys at the

same time again (two times in all), and the display will beep for another three

times and speed window will show -0.0. You are now in REVERSE Mode.

Now, you have become familiar with your treadmill's operation and are ready to

exercise:

1. Plug the treadmill into a standard outlet. Turn on the power switch located on the

front of the machine.

2. Straddle the belt with your feet on the right and left staging platforms.

3. Increase the speed of the treadmill using the SPEED control key found on the

electronics package. Balance one hand on the handlebar. Adjust speed ( key until

you reach 1.5-2.0 mph/2.5-3.5 kph or a comfortable walking speed. With both

hands on the handlebars, and walk for a few minutes to get comfortable with your

treadmill.

4. After you are walking in an easy, relaxed, and steady fashion, now release your

grip on the handlebars, and let your arms swing freely and naturally.

5. When you feel comfortable walking, you may wish to jog. Hold the handlebar with

one hand, use the other hand to increase the speed for jogging.

6. Remember to hold the handlebar when using the control panel on the electronics

package, or adjusting the speed. Holding the handlebar one hand will help to

maintain your balance, especially when slowing down or stopping. Also,

remember to hold onto the handlebar when dismounting.

7. When you have finished your workout, just feather touch the /

(STOP/PAUSE)

key located on both sides of the front handlebar. Remember to do a cool down

before you bring the machine to a complete stop.
